Integrated DFB Laser
Innolume GmbHRequest Info
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 15, 2025 — Innolume's O-band continuous-wave distributed feedback (DFB) laser is designed for integration into silicon photonics and thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN)-based high-speed optical transceivers, eliminating the need for an optical isolator and thermoelectric cooler. The laser is built on Innolume’s quantum dot indium arsenide/gallium arsenide platform, and features mode-hop-free operation and resistance to optical back reflections. The laser is reliable and operates in a single frequency regime from -10 °C to 110 °C, consistently delivering an optical power of 100 mW at a fixed drive current of 330 mA and power conversion efficiency >20% across a broad temperature range, thereby eliminating the requirement for a current control loop. It is suited for 800 Gbps, 1.6 Tbps, and next-generation 3.2 Tbps DR8 and 2×FR4 optical modules, and features isolator-free integration when the optical path is optimized.
