Hamamatsu.jpgHamamatsu Corp.’s C10054 series intensified CCD cameras are equipped with one- or two-stage microchannel plate image intensifiers to increase the light available for detection. Designed for acquiring low-light still images or continuous video of high-speed or ultralow-light phenomena, the cameras feature shutter times as short as 5 ns and minimum photocathode illuminance as low as 4 × 10–7 lx. Users may choose a television-format CCD for conventional interlaced video output or a progressive-scan CCD for output to an image capture board. Photocathode options, including GaAsP, GaAs or multialkali, provide a range of spectral responses spanning 185 to 920 nm. Uses include imaging high-speed light-emission phenomena, low-light phenomena and objects moving at high speed.
