A high-power laser diode driver, the Intensify Nx50 from Granite Devices has parallel connection capability for the OEM market.

The device can scale up continuous and pulsed output current rating to 150 A. The device accepts standard 12 V DC input voltage while output current is adjustable from 0 to 50 A. The maximum output voltage of 5.0 V allows two laser diodes in a series connection.

Intensify employs high-frequency, three-phase switching conversion to minimize output ripple and physical size, eliminating the need for active cooling.

The device includes under-voltage, over-temperature, electro-static discharge and laser diode protections as standard features. The driver is suited for OEM laser diode applications such as optical pumping, material processing and printing.
