For precision USB laser diode and temperature control, Wavelength Electronics is offering the USBKIT interface board and software package. The bus-powered USB 2.0 interface board is wired using onboard screw terminals, and the QuickConnect virtual control panel provides out-of-the-box functionality with strip chart graphs that show real-time laser system status. One laser diode driver and one temperature controller can be simultaneously operated with the interface board, and multiple USBKITs can be attached to the same computer, enabling control of complex systems. A factory-modified National Instruments multifunction input/output card includes digital-to-analog conversion for remote set-point control, and auxiliary analog-to-digital conversion for increased versatility. The software controls one laser diode driver and one temperature controller and features graphing and data logging.
