InterferometerThe PicoScale Interferometer from SmarAct GmbH is a standalone device that can read out three interferometric encoders in parallel.

The sensor heads’ compact design allows for an easy integration even in setups with space constraints, while the PicoScale controller, which integrates the stabilized laser source and detection electronics, can be placed meters away in a switch cabinet. The Michelson principle of the PicoScale Interferometer also enables optical differential measurements in order to measure movements with respect to a reference point within the setup. Position reading is provided at a rate of up to 10 MHz and the high bandwidth makes it possible to use the interferometer for single point vibrometry or to obtain derived physical entities like velocity or acceleration synchronously.

The SmarAct PicoScale Interferometer is a user-friendly and customizable solution for measuring displacements and vibrations at the picometer scale to support various industries ranging from semiconductor to scientific applications.
