Bristol Instruments 137 seriesThe 137 series of interferometric thickness gauges from Bristol Instruments Inc. measures absolute thickness to an accuracy of ±1 μm with a repeatability of ±0.05 μm.

The gauges' noncontact technique enables measurement of both hard and soft materials without damage or deformation. All material layers are measured simultaneously.

Applications include measurement of plastic films, medical membranes, glass tubing and ophthalmic products. The gauges can measure top-wall and bottom-wall thickness, outer and inner diameters, and center thicknesses and sagittal height of contact and intraocular lenses.
