KnowItAll ATR/IR ID Expert and Raman ID Expert software from Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. uses IR and Raman spectroscopy to identify unknown compounds.

The software, which accesses the company’s large spectral reference collection, automatically performs single- and multiple-component searches while simultaneously analyzing the functional group. It summarizes the results on a single screen, providing a complete view of all the possibilities for the unknown spectrum. If there are problems with the user’s query spectrum, ID Expert identifies the issues and suggests ways to fix them.

Once the user has identified the spectrum, a PDF report can be generated with a single click.
