Spectro Analytical Instruments introduces the X-Lab 2000 precision laboratory spectrometer for applications in which unknown elemental concentrations must be determined with little sample preparation, such as in environmental sampling, geological analysis and pharmaceutical process control. The spectrometer's Pd-target end-window x-ray tube offers low-energy radiation for the excitation of light elements, and its polarized optics reduce the spectral background to lower detection limits. Its Si(Li) detectors enable simultaneous analysis of high- and low-energy fluorescence.
