LASER BEAM PROFILER For laboratory and production line use, Coherent Inc. has introduced the LaserCam HR laser beam profiler. The device’s 1280 × 1024-pixel sensor characterizes CW and pulsed beams from 0.26 to 6 mm in diameter with a spectral sensitivity of 300 to 1100 nm. With a data acquisition rate of up to 27 Hz, the LaserCam supports high-speed inspection and alignment applications. It uses a USB 2.0 camera for plug-and-play connectivity and comes with BeamView software, which provides viewing and analysis functions, data import/export formats, and pass/fail and alarm mode operation for automated production.
