Olympus Life.jpgA multilaser combiner has been introduced by Olympus Life and Material Science Europa GmbH for use with its FluoView FV1000 confocal laser scanning microscope in high-resolution live-cell imaging. The compact system supports up to six diode and gas lasers, enabling selection of wavelengths from the near-UV to the far-red. Laser diodes are available at 405, 440, 473, 559 and 635 nm, and the multiargon and the green and orange HeNe gas lasers provide 457, 488, 514.5, 543 and 594 nm. The computer-controlled acousto-optic tunable filter enables independent microsecond high-speed selection and switching of the available laser lines as well as flexible control of laser intensity.
