To increase part-making productivity, Cincinnati Inc. has unveiled a super-size version of its CL-707 high-speed laser cutting system, which combines a linear motor drive with an 8 x 20-ft cutting table. The table allows up to five 4 x 8-ft sheets to be loaded sideways or two standard 5 x 10-ft sheets to be situated lengthwise. This process reduces machine downtime for material changes, according to the company. The system's dual-pallet design allows one table to be unloaded and reloaded while the second table is being processed. The long table can also accommodate custom lengths for specialized manufacturing.
