Blue Sky Research has introduced its FiberMax single-mode, fiber-pigtailed laser diode module for electro-optics applications. The device combines the company's proprietary µLens technology with a laser diode and a single-mode fiber. Mounted directly in front of the diode's emitting edge, the µLens captures nearly 100% of the diode's power, circularizing the beam and correcting any aberrations. The company says the module is made from precision-machined components optimized for high thermal stability.
