LASER MEASUREMENT The LT-9000 series laser confocal displacement meters from Keyence Corp. of America perform accurate 0.01-µm thickness measurements on transparent objects via a single sensor head, even when the target surfaces are wet, angled or irregular. Other measurement modes include profile, angle and cross-sectional area. The sensor head has a built-in CCD camera that produces a microscopic image of the target surface, and a built-in microscope provides a continuous waveform display of topographic surface details. The LT-9501 controller and monitor offer menus and a handheld remote control unit.
