Ophir Optronics Inc. has introduced a meter for measuring the power of static and scanned laser beams with up to 20 mW of average power. The BC20 scans up to 30,000 in./s with NIST-traceable accuracy to -5%. The standard model is calibrated for wavelengths at 633, 650 and 675 nm. The measurement head swivels 1808 for access to beams hidden in assemblies and instruments. The device provides 1-V full-scale analog output and can operate 45 h between charges.
