Faro Technologies Inc.'s laser trackers will now be shipped with HighRes Inc.'s Lite reverse engineering software modules. According to Faro, this combination allows SolidWorks, Autocad, Mechanical Desktop/Inventor, Mastercam or CadKey CAD/CAM applications to be used with the company's measurement system. Incorporating features such as 2- and 3-D and cutplane options, the HighRes plug-in enables real-time and on-screen viewing of a laser probe's position on a part.
