LBP2 Series Laser Beam Profilers

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2013 — Newport Corp. has announced the LBP2 series laser beam profilers for ISO-approved laser beam analysis and laser performance monitoring.

The profilers are available with a visible, 190- to 1100-nm CCD camera or a phosphor-coated, 1440- to 1605-nm CCD camera for the near-IR. Both cameras are available with a 640 × 480 low-resolution or 1200 × 1600 high-resolution array with sensor sizes of 6.3 × 4.7 mm and 7.1 × 5.4 mm, respectively. Each profiler includes one stackable ND1 and two stackable ND2 filters to protect the CCD from saturation or damage.

The devices include Windows software that measures the size, shape, uniformity and mode content of a laser beam. Beam intensity profiles are displayed simultaneously in 2-D and 3-D. Statistical analysis can be performed on measurement functions, and min/max limits can be set for pass/fail testing.
