KEMP, Texas, July 18, 2013 — Larson Electronics LLC’s LEDLB-60ET-IR infrared LED light bar can produce a high-power beam of invisible IR light more than 1400 ft long for military, law enforcement and security applications requiring night-vision devices and equipment.
The device is available in 850 Nm for use with common security cameras and night-vision goggles or in 940 Nm for use with the latest generation of military night-vision equipment. It features 60 Edison Edixeon 3-W IR emitters that produce an IR beam 1450 ft long and 240 ft wide; an optional floodlight configuration can produce a beam 490 ft long and 450 ft wide. A trunnion-type bracket allows mounting to any flat surface.
The extruded-aluminum housing is lightweight and rugged, and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens provides protection against scratches and impact damage. The device can withstand submersion up to 3 m, making it impervious to rain. It is also resistant to vibration damage and can withstand temperatures from –40 to 85 °C. LED drivers actively manage heat and voltage, allowing full-power operation from 9 to 42 V of direct current.
