Lumex Inc. offers a line of LED lamps with a twist-and-lock base. The lamps can be installed in printed circuit boards that have complementary cutouts and contact traces matching their contacts. The LEDs are suitable for applications that require different intensities of color and for upgrading designs that use incandescent lamps, such as automotive controls and instrument cluster boards. Based on InGaN and AlInGaP chip technologies, the lamps are available in various intensities and colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white. Two-color units also are available.
