Edmund Optics.jpgThe MLED, a modular system for testing and measuring LEDs, has been revealed by Edmund Optics Inc. The device is available in three configurations for discrete LEDs, arrays and assemblies. Data acquisition through a built-in USB port provides spectral, color, power, lumens, pu-rity and peak dominant wavelength information. The base system consists of the 2048-element CCD spectrometer, an internal calibration lamp and a set of three calibrated neutral density filters to extend the system’s dynamic range. It offers 1.5-nm resolution with 0.5-nm accuracy over a range of 350 to 1000 nm.
