TORRINGTON, Conn., Aug. 10, 2016 — Dymax Corp. has announced the BlueWave MX-150 LED spot-curing system for curing flexibility.
The system can be used as a benchtop unit or integrated into an automated system. Its LED emitters are available in 365-, 385-, or 405-nm wavelengths. Located at the point of cure, the system’s curing energy is created using an LED chip in the emitter to provide more consistent curing and eliminate the potential loss of intensity caused by long or bent lightguides. Furthermore, with this new design, the emitter can be easily mounted to robotic arms or mounted further from the controller without fear of intensity variations.
The BlueWave MX-150TM is comprised of two main parts: a controller with an easy-to-use touchscreen interface and a high-intensity LED emitter. For specialized applications, users also have the option to connect a lightguide to the system without experiencing any intensity loss. The unit can be activated by a foot pedal, its LCD touchscreen or through a programmable logic controller interface.
