The FreedomView LED videoscope by Optim LLC is designed to conduct and record inspections quickly and safely.
It features an integrated LED with variable intensity control. It can capture still images and video (in JPG and AVI file formats) with date and time stamps, and can store more than 8000 stills.
FreedomView is suited for examining aviation engines, military equipment, gas turbines, and may also be used in nondestructive testing, contraband searches and interdiction, as well as power generation applications.
It has a field of view of 80° and a depth of field from 5 mm to infinity. Its operating temperature range is –25 °C to 70 °C ambient and 10 °C to 30 °C in liquid.
The tungsten braid probe has shaft diameter of 6 mm and flexible length of 2.0 m. The unit is powered by two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that provide more than two hours of operating time. Other features include a 3.7-in. touchscreen display, 110° joystick control and play/pause video controls.
