OmicronLaserage.jpgA high-power UVA LED module has been released by Omicron Laserage Laserprodukte GmbH. The LEDMOD365.100 is thermoelectrically cooled and provides up to 100 mW at 365 nm. It emits pure 365-nm light and is available in a free-emission (110°) version. A fiber-coupled version that can deliver up to 70 mW from 2-mm, 35 mW from 1-mm and 5 mW from 250-μm plastic optical fibers also is offered. The device is designed for applications such as fluorescence excitation in biotechnology.
