Dymax Corp. The MD 1193-M-VLV medical device adhesive from Dymax Corp. was formulated to bond needles, syringes and other stainless steel cannula to polycarbonate, PVC and polypropylene hubs. The acrylic's low viscosity allows fast, air-free dispensing into needle hub cavities. The adhesive creates clear, high-strength bonds with minimal variation in tensile strength, and it cures in fractions of a second upon exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the company's BlueWave 200 spot lamp or from electrodeless focused beam curing systems. A patented fluorescing formula facilitates in-line inspection.
