Operations Technology Inc. has released two LED light controllers for use with high-magnification zoom and fixed lenses in machine vision and microscopy applications. Both the single-channel and the six-channel units are microprocessor-controlled and self-calibrating. They have an integral computer interface and use constant-current circuitry to power the LEDs to their maximum illumination. The single-channel version measures 3 X 5 X 1.5 in., and the six-channel measures 6 X 7 X 1.5 in. Tactile membrane switches control the intensity of each module in coarse and fine modes, and an LCD indicates the channel that is being adjusted and its intensity, in both percentage and bar-graph form.
