A line-scan inspection system unveiled by Wintriss Engineering Corp. provides real-time flaw mapping, flaw image display, web imaging, trend analysis and report generation at up to 40 million pixels per second. The Web Ranger is suitable for surface inspection of paper, metals, plastics and other continuous manufacturing processes. The system has line-scan cameras with field-programmable gate array image processing for 5000-pixel resolution scanning at 7500 lines per second and up to 175,000 lines per second at reduced resolution.
