LWIR CameraThe Dione S 640 from Xenics BV is a high-performance, uncooled LWIR camera meant for demanding applications in the safety, security, and industrial markets.

The VGA 640 × 480-pixel, 12-µm pitch camera optimized to meet today’s increased demand for smaller size, lower weight, higher resolution, and lower power, without compromising on electro-optical performance. The Dione S 640 is a shuttered version of its predecessor, providing ultralow residual fixed pattern noise and the capability to quickly adjust to a fast-changing environment.

Two optical interfaces are available: The Dione S 640 CAM M24 at 37.4 × 37.4 × 28.4 mm3 and 50 g, and the Dione S 640 CAM M34 at 42 × 42 × 30.3 mm3 and 55 g.
