LWIR Camera CoreThe Dione 640 LWIR camera core from Xenics BV is optimized to meet the demand for smaller size, lower weight, and lower power devices.

Designed for the safety and security market, as well as industrial applications, the core is based on the latest generation of 12-µm pitch microbolometer sensors. The first member of the Dione family is presented in a VGA format at 640×480 pixels and a sensitivity of 60 mK in a small form factor of 25×25×10 mm3. Dione operates shutterless with software-enabled automatic calibration without any mechanical shutter. No cooling is required.

The Dione 640 features power consumption of 0.8 W and a weight of <20 g.
