LEUVEN, Belgium, Oct. 14, 2022 — The Dione 1024 LWIR camera core from Xenics NV provides small size, low weight, low power, and low cost for imaging applications.

The XGA, 1024 × 768 core is optimized for the safety and security markets as well as industrial use. It offers high sensitivity at 50 mK and can be provided without a shutter for lower requirements, or with a shutter for rapid adaptation to the environment. Optimized handheld thermal imagers, customers can choose between an OEM model, or embedded in a housing with M34 or M45 optical interfaces. The core is uncooled and designed for embedded systems.
