Laser-Line Right-Angle Prisms
Edmund Optics Inc.Request Info
Edmund Optics has introduced its TechSpec laser-line right-angle
prisms. The versatile optics feature <0.25% reflection at the design wavelength
and are suitable for industrial and low-power laser applications, including beam
steering and laser alignment. They are designed with tight angle tolerances and
are manufactured from precision N-BK7 for ease of use in a wide variety of visible
and near-infrared applications. The prisms are most commonly used to bend image
paths or to redirect light at a 90º angle. This will produce a left-handed image,
which may be inverted or reverted, depending upon the prism’s orientation.
Right-angle prisms also may be used in combination for image/beam displacement as
part of an optical system. The prisms are available with coatings for HeNe and diode
laser sources.
