BAD OLDESLOE, Germany, Sept. 24, 2014 — The CS series 3-D laser-triangulation sensors by Automation Technology is the latest addition to the company’s C2 group of compact sensors.

The new sensors are available with pixel resolutions of 2048 × 1088, 1600 × 1088 or 648 × 488, as well as profile frequencies of up to 25 kHz. Each model has been designed for working distances from 60 to 740 mm, enabling measurement ranges of up to 1060 mm (width) and 800 mm (height).

The 3-D sensors are compatible with 2-D camera software and can perform automatic area-of-interest tracking in industrial settings.
