LANNION, France, April 19, 2011 — The LaserBoxx laser diode modules from Oxxius SA are now available at 515 nm with output power of 20 mW in a circular diffraction-limited beam. The industry-standard package measures 100 × 40 × 40 mm and enables straightforward integration into existing instruments.
Features include power stability of <2% over 8 h; low noise of <0.5% rms from 10 Hz to 2 MHz; fast transistor-transistor-logic modulation with <20-ns rise/fall times; extended analog modulation of >2 MHz at -3 dB; and analog, USB and RS-232 control interfaces. The modules are built on a stable mechanical frame to ensure good beam pointing stability and subsequent long-term output power stability for single-mode fiber delivery.
Dedicated either to OEM integration or to laboratory use, the LBX-515, combined or not with the LBX-488, is a suitable alternative to the bulky and voracious air-cooled argon laser in applications such as flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
The company offers LaserBoxx modules from the UV to the NIR, including models dedicated for life sciences at 405, 488, 559, 588 and 640 nm.
