Scanning Slit Laser Beam ProfilersMKS Instruments Inc. has announced new additions to the Ophir NanoScan 2s line of high-power scanning slit laser beam profilers.

The new Ophir NanoScan 2s Pyro/9/5-MIR is a lower cost profiler designed to measure mid-IR wavelengths from 900nm to 5µm. This model joins the rest of the NanoScan 2s family of products, which now includes the NanoScan 2s Pyro/9/5-MIR with wavelengths from 900 nm to 5 µm, and beam sizes of 20 µm to 6 mm; the NanoScan 2s Si/3.5/1.8 with wavelengths from 190 to 1100 nm and beam sizes from 7 µm to 2.3 mm; the NanoScan 2s Si/9/5 with wavelengths from 190 to 1100 nm and beam sizes from 20 µm to 6 mm; the NanoScan 2s Ge/3.5/1.8 with wavelengths from 700 to 1800 nm and beam sizes from 7 µm to 2.3 mm; the NanoScan 2s Ge/9/5 with wavelengths from 700 to 1800 nm and beam sizes from 20 µm to 6 mm; and the NanoScan 2s Pyro/9/5 with wavelengths from 190 nm to >100 µm and beam sizes from 20 µm to 6 mm.

NanoScan products are NIST-calibrated profilers that instantly measure beam position and size with submicron precision for CW and kHz pulsed lasers. NanoScan profilers offer a choice of silicon, germanium, or pyroelectric detectors, which allows profiling lasers of any wavelength, from UV to FIR, to 100µm and beyond.
