ORLANDO, Fla., April 5, 2013 — Pangolin Laser Systems Inc., a maker of laser display software and control hardware, has expanded its Lasorb line with a series of components designed to protect 515- and 520-nm green laser diodes from direct and indirect electrostatic discharge (ESD), including single, multiple and repeated discharge of positive or negative polarity. It also protects against reverse bias conditions.

The new Lasorb component is for the 520-nm green diode, which is suitable for display applications because its wavelength is closer to the argon green wavelength.

Applications include electronics, medicine, security, entertainment and scientific research for government, universities and commercial industries.
