A laser diode module that offers high optical performance in a driver integrated compact box is now available from Oxxius SA. The LaserBoxx series measures 40 x 40 x 100 mm, facilitating integration into existing instruments. It is available at 375-, 405-, 445-, 488-, 640- and 660-nm wavelengths at output powers up to 130 mW with TEM00 circular or elliptical beams. It features power stability of <2% over 8 h and low noise of <0.5% rms from 10 Hz to 2 MHz. It is built on a stable mechanical frame to assure beam pointing stability and long-term output power stability for single-mode fiber coupling. Applications include flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
