Laser Diodes with Butterfly Housing

BERLIN, June 22, 2015 — eagleyard DFB laser diodeNew 780- and 852-nm distributed feedback laser diodes from eagleyard Photonics GmbH have a 14-pin butterfly package with a window consisting of an integrated thermistor, thermo-electric cooler and a monitor diode.

The DFB-780 provides up to 80 mW in output power, while the DFB-852 provides 100 mW. Both devices feature a spectral linewidth of 2 MHz and below.

Integrated beam collimation and a circular beam profile are useful for metrology applications.
