PicoQuant offers a selection of turnkey, versatile picosecond pulsed laser solutions for all kinds of spectroscopic and microscopic applications. Based on a compact and flexible platform concept, the VisIR emits at a single wavelength (766 nm), while the VisUV can provide combinations of up to three wavelengths (266, 355, and 532 nm) from separate output ports. All laser beams have nearly perfect circular and Gaussian shaped profiles (M2 < 1.1) and can generate pulses at repetition rate of up to 80 MHz. Pulse width are either typically 0.5 ns (VisIR) or < 70 ps (VisUV). The Solea is a stand-alone, supercontinuum laser source with unmatched flexibility in repetition rate. Variants covering two spectral domains ranging from 480 to 700 nm (Solea) or 900 nm (SoleaR) are available featuring either a tunable wavelength selector or only emitting the full supercontinuum spectrum (white variants).
The tunable bandpass filter allows setting the emission wavelength to any value in the supercontinuum spectrum with spectral bandwidths between 3 and 15 nm. All variants can be operated at adjustable repetition rates and triggered through an internal oscillator, with six fixed rates between 2.5 and 40 MHz, or by an external source at any rate between 1 and 40 MHz. Depending on the emission wavelength, the temporal pulse widths range from 90 to 150 ps.
These reliable laser products are ideally suited for applications where flexible wavelength selection as well as high and variable repetition rates are important, such as time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, fluorescence anisotropy, single molecule detection, Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS), as well as for a variety of microscopy techniques including super-resolution microscopy via STimulated Emission Depletion (STED).
