PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 30, 2014 — The µFlexTM Series multi-axis precision laser micromachining platform by Electro Scientific Industries Inc. is suited for consumer electronics, medical devices and automotive components.

The platform enables high-volume manufacturing processes including marking, cutting, drilling and ablating. It can handle a variety of materials, from fabrics and metals to ceramics, glass and sapphire. The total footprint of the µFlexTM is 1.7 m2.
