MÜLHEIM-KÄRLICH, Germany, Nov. 2, 2018 — LDM laser modules from Laserline GmbH are designed for 19-in. integration.

The LDM 500-60blue works with a wavelength of 450 nm. Its absorption is 7 to 20× higher than that of IR lasers, which enables a controlled heat conduction welding of nonferrous metals. In particular, new production methods of electrical contacting, such as battery and rechargeable battery production, benefit from this.

The LDM 6000-100 can be used for brazing roof seams in the automotive sector. Like all LDM modules, it contains the laser head, cooling, power supply, and electronic system, allowing for easy integration and space saving in production plants.
