Pyrophotonics2.jpgPyroPhotonics has revealed the PyroFlex 2 series pulsed fibre laser platform, offered in the IR and green regions of the emission spectrum for precision microprocessing applications. The system features fibre-coupled laser diode pumping technology with the benefits of programming control, and it incorporates an optional optical isolator for good pulse stability. The user has complete control of pulse parameters, including width, height and repetition rate.

The laser delivers 500 mW of power at 532 nm and 2 W at 1064 nm and produces high TEM00 beam quality of M2 <1.1 over an operating temperature range from 15 to 45 °C. The system provides a tunable repetition rate of up to 500 kHz, 1000 W of maximum power and a maximum pulse energy of 30 μJ. The device includes an internal electromechanical shutter with power monitoring capability.

The laser head measures 152 × 102 × 279 mm. The system has a built-in RS-232 serial interface and the option of USB for connection to a computer. Input voltage is 85 to 260 VAC.
