IRVINE, Calif., June 10, 2016 — Laser Pulse Energy DetectorsNewport Corp. has announced the 919E series of pyroelectric and photodiode laser pulse energy detectors with a DB15 connector and internal electrically erasable programmable read-only memory for storage of factory calibration data.

The series includes pyroelectric pulse energy detectors for both low and high energies as well as the 919E-20U-10-20K, a photodiode energy detector for low energies with a 10-mm aperture and a sensitive calibrated energy detector. The low-energy models can measure pulses as low as 1 nJ up to 10 mJ. The high-energy models can handle up to 30 J by utilizing a calibrated diffuser with a high damage threshold.

Without the diffuser, the active diameter of the detectors can be as large as 46 mm. The 919E series detectors can measure lasers with pulse widths up to 20 ms and replace the obsolete Newport 818E detector series.
