SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 4, 2013 — The T165 laser pulser manufactured by Highland Technology Inc. incorporates an edge-triggered pulse generator with 150-ps nominal rise and fall times into a butterfly or TO-packaged laser.
The 2 × 2-in. design connects directly to standard 0.1-in. pin-pitch butterfly laser packages, making it suitable for OEM use in laser systems.
Laser current, bias and pulse width are settable with onboard trimpots or by external analog inputs. The built-in edge-triggered pulse generator is adjustable from 200 ps to 2 ns. Pulsed laser current is adjustable up to 750 mA, with heat sinking required above 400 mA.
Power is supplied via a standard 5-V micro-USB power supply or through a ribbon cable interface connector. TTL and LVDS/PECL/CML triggers are available as options, as are spring sockets for nonbutterfly laser packages.
