BEAVERTON, Ore., April 23, 2015 – Voxtel RoxThe Rox μLRF microminiature eye-safe laser rangefinder from Voxtel Inc. achieves single-shot ranging to 3 km with 100-mm precision.

The device is designed for consumer, industrial and military system integrators, for applications including hunting, surveying, mapping, altimetry and unmanned aerial vehicle-mounted ranging and surveillance. Lasers operating at eye-safe wavelengths improve the performance of the applications, eliminating the need to compromise beam power and quality for safety.

The rangefinder combines low-divergence, diffraction-limited, eye-safe laser pulses with the company’s InGaAs avalanche photodiode receiver. The device integrates a diode-pumped solid-state laser, a visible aiming laser and custom pulse-processing circuits.

Waterproof, rangefinder delivers suitable ranging of targets in direct sunlight, at night and in low-visibility conditions, including fog, rain and snow.
