NEW YORK, April 17, 2013 — Electro-Optical Products Corp.’s SH-10-PI x-ray and laser safety shutters feature an integrated return spring that jumps to the “off” position in the event of a power failure.

The shutters can be mounted directly on an optical table and are available with several blade solutions to fit various wavelengths and powers. They offer position indicators and two magnetic sensors to identify blade position. A three-pin Molex connector is used as output.

Standard and long-life versions are available, delivering 2 million and 50 million cycles minimum, respectively. The safety shutter is a stock item and is RoHS-compliant. Custom-size blades also are available.
