The Artec Ray laser scanner from Exact Metrology Inc. is ideal for scanning large objects such as wind turbines, ship propellers, airplanes, and buildings.

With the ability to scan up to 110 m away, this scanner offers submillimeter distance accuracy and high angular accuracy. In addition, data capture is cleaner and keeps noise at a minimum. As a result, postprocessing time is greatly reduced. Artec Ray is equipped with software solutions that process the scan directly into the Artec Studio, then export it to Geomagic Design X. To obtain maximum benefits, Artec Ray can be paired with Eva or Spider hand-held Artec scanners to scan hard-to-reach areas such as the interiors of cars or add intricate detail to a large-scale 3D model.

Portable and compact, the laser scanner can be set up easily indoors or outdoors, and the internal battery lasts for up to four hours.
