Laser Tracking Software UpdateHexagon Manufacturing Intelligence AB has announced a v1.3 system software update for its Leica Absolute Tracker AT930 and AT960 laser trackers.

This upgrade brings advances in usability as well as improvements to automated application functionalities. New software commands will deliver up to 40 percent faster process speeds using reflectors and 6DoF probes such as the Leica T-Scan or Leica T-Mac. This will enable shorter times that are crucial in automated inspection in close to production, in-line or metrology-assisted assembly use cases. Hard Shock data handling is also introduced. Those making full use of the portability of their Leica Absolute Tracker will be notified when system accuracy checks are required following the unforeseen impacts that commonly occur in transit.

The update also delivers important PowerLock advances. With the new intelligent auto-exposure feature, the tracker will automatically recognize ambient lighting conditions and adapt settings accordingly without user input. This function will ensure high PowerLock performance, even in extremely bright outdoor environments. For automated inspection, the use of “Measure All You Can See” software functions is now a simple, single button process.
