MONROVIA, Calif., Nov. 19, 2014 — Sigma Femtosecond Laser Tube cutting systemDeveloped in partnership with Jenoptik, the Sigma Femtosecond Laser Tube Cutting System from Miyachi Americas is based on its ultrashort-pulse disc laser platform.

Combined with precision cutting and proprietary control software, the system offer high-resolution, high-quality cutting for a range of tubes and stents used in medical device applications.

The system uses a cold ablation process to cut materials with minimal post processing. Fine feature sizes can be cut into thin material while still maintaining mechanical and material integrity. No internal water cooling is needed.
