Optikos' LensCheck™ Quality Control SystemOptikos, the leader in optically-based design, metrology products and IQ Lab™ services, is pleased to offer this compact, efficient, easy-to-use quality control tool. The LensCheck™ instrument is a cost-effective solution to your production and prototype lens qualification needs, and provides portable and precise measurements for VIS/NIR through LWIR applications.

With patented Optikos® VideoMTF image analysis software, LensCheck instruments feature real-time MTF testing and analysis that allow manufacturers to qualify incoming products quickly and reliably—helping meet quality assurance standards for complete assemblies.

The LensCheck’s configurable automated measurement routines and industry-leading accuracy make it the instrument of choice in production and R&D facilities around the world. Optikos validates all measurements with a 50mm F/5 Audit Lens:

   •  VIS—better than 2% (1% typical); and repeatability—better than1% (0.5% typical)
   •  LWIR—better than 3% (2% typical) to 40 lp/mm; and repeatability—better than 2% (1% typical)

Its flexible platform allows a wide range of measurements; and for advanced lens testing capabilities, newly-released automation functions in our OpTest® 7 software now support the writing of custom user interfaces with the latest WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) framework in compatible development environments such as National Instruments™ LabVIEW, MathWorks® MATLAB, VB.NET and C#.

OLE support is maintained through a COM object in older programming environments such as Microsoft Excel VBA. Measurements include real-time MTF testing (on and off axis), focal length, distortion, field curvature, chief ray angle, afocal, finite conjugate, and more.

A range of options that enhance the LensCheck’s flexibility include:
