Optikos LensCheck™ Quality Control SystemOptikos is pleased to offer this compact, efficient, easy-to-use quality control tool. The LensCheck™ instrument is a cost-effective solution to your production and prototype lens qualification needs, and provides portable and precise measurements for VIS/NIR, SWIR and LWIR applications.

LensCheck instruments are configured to allow manufacturers to quickly and reliably qualify incoming products. Automated measurement routines and industry-leading accuracy make it the instrument of choice in production and R&D facilities around the world.

OpTest® 7 software’s platform allows a wide range of measurements; and for advanced lens testing capabilities, automation functions in OpTest® 7 support the writing of custom user interfaces with the latest WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) framework in compatible development environments such as National Instruments™ LabVIEW, MathWorks® MATLAB, VB.NET and C#.

This flexible platform now includes Python™ scripting using an integrated editor, extending its support to an even wider range of custom lens measurements. OLE support is maintained through a COM object in older programming environments such as Microsoft Excel VBA. Measurements include real-time MTF testing (on and off axis), focal length, distortion, field curvature, chief ray angle, relative illumination, chromatic aberrations, and more.

A range of options that expand the LensCheck’s flexibility include:

     •  Rotary Lens Mount
     •  Audit Lenses
     •  Reference Lenses
     •  Transmission Kit / Relative Illumination Kit (VIS only)
     •  Stray Light Kit (VIS only)
     •  Finite Conjugate Instrument (VIS only) --available as an option or standalone unit
     •  Reflective Collimator
     •  Line of Sight (using Rotary Lens Mount)
     •  Achromatic Objectives (VIS only)
     •  Apochromatic Objectives (VIS only)
     •  Lens Mounts

Optikos validates all measurements with a 50mm f/5 Audit Lens:

     •  VIS—better than 2% (1% typical); and repeatability—better than1% (0.5% typical)
     •  LWIR—better than 3% (2% typical) to 40 lp/mm; and repeatability—better than 2% (1% typical)
