OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada, June 14, 2012 — Lumenera Corp. has announced the Lg11059 small-form-factor 11-megapixel Gigabit Ethernet digital camera for
industrial and scientific imaging applications.
It delivers lower noise and higher bit depth than its predecessor, while housed in a smaller, robust enclosure. The progressive-scan camera operates at 5 fps at full 4008 × 2672-pixel resolution, and it features a dynamic range of up to 66 dB, a Canon EF lens mount, selectable 8- or 14-bit image data, and locking GigE power and general-purpose input/output (I/O) Hirose connectors.
The Kodak KAI-11002 interline transfer image sensor with a 43.3-mm image diagonal and electronic global shutter delivers low dark current noise, negligible lag and low smear.
The camera is suited for applications with low-light conditions and provides high sensitivity and high-fidelity color reproduction. It measures 76.2 × 76.2 × 82.6 mm, rendering it suited for installation in small spaces.
The fully locking Gigabit Ethernet cabling, power connector and digital I/O interface ensure plug-and-play installation. Simplified I/O cabling is provided through a locking Hirose connector supporting four output and three input ports that can be automatically or manually controlled through software. Applications include pathology, aerial surveillance, traffic monitoring and industrial inspection.
Full streaming of uncompressed video and still image capture are controlled through the company’s standard API interface or through the GigE Vision interface. Region-of-interest and binning modes allow the camera to run at faster frame rates.
The camera is available in color or monochrome as well as custom variants.
