Lidar Field-Effect TransistorThe EPC2219 Field-Effect Transistor (FET) from Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) Corp. is a 65-V gallium nitride (GaN) device with an integrated reverse gate clamp diode optimized for high-resolution lidar systems.

This system has completed rigorous automotive AEC Q101 qualification testing including humidity testing with bias, high-temperature reverse bias, high-temperature gate bias, temperature cycling, and more. In addition to lidar in demanding automotive applications, the EPC2219 and its 0.81-mm2 footprint is also suited for driving GaN FETs in radar and ultrasonic sensors, satellite reaction wheels, high-frequency DC-DC conversion, wireless power, and class-D audio.
